EXPECTATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS OF THE STUDENTS STUDYING AT ANATOLIAN HOTEL AND TOURISM VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS RELATED TO THEIR SCHOOLS

Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı; Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Liselerinin öğrenciler tarafından ne amaçla tercih edildiği, tercih edilme sebebinin öğrencilerin beklenti ve değerlendirmelerini etkileyip etkilemediği ve yine öğrencilerin okudukları okulun bulunduğu bölgenin, beklentileri üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığının tespit edilmesidir. Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama türünde tasarlanmıştır ve toplam 33 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu aracılığıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Anket formları, öğrencilere sınıf öğretmenleri tarafından uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, anket uygulanan dönemde Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Liselerinde öğrenim gören 18.217 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada tam sayım yapılması hedeflendiği için örneklem alınmamış ve analize tabi tutulan anket sayısı 8.707 olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; öğrencilerin okumakta oldukları Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Lisesi ile ilgili öncelik, beklenti ve değerlendirmeleri ile; okumakta oldukları okulun bulunduğu bölge faktörü arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğrencilerin, öğrenim görülen okulla ilgili kayıt öncesi düşük düzeyde olan bilgilerinin, öğrenim süreci içerisinde kısmen de olsa yükseldiği anlaşılmıştır.
