Abstract
RésuméLe Japon rencontre la philosophie occidentale pendant la seconde moitié du xixe siècle, quand il est sommé d’ouvrir ses ports et de moderniser ses infrastructures. Ses dirigeants adoptent alors pour modèle l’Allemagne de Bismarck et la philosophie allemande triomphe dans le monde philosophique. C’est surtout avec la réception de Bergson, dans les années 1910, que les philosophes japonais commencent à s’intéresser à la philosophie française. Le Japon et ses philosophes entretiennent dès lors de multiples rapports avec elle, non seulement avec les textes mais aussi avec les philosophes français eux-mêmes, avec les institutions et avec l’idée nationale de « philosophie française ».
