Abstract
Resumo Este artigo analisou as representações jornalísticas sobre a violência letal contra pessoas LGBTQIAP+ em notícias de jornais do Rio Grande do Sul. O estudo possibilitou identificar um duplo movimento: por um lado, um alargamento da noção de violência demarcando o tema como um problema social a ser enfrentado e, por outro, uma seletividade no enquadramento jornalístico dessas formas de violência que tendem a enfatizar a sexualidade das vítimas como motivação nos casos de homens gays, mas seguem invisibilizando o marcador de gênero nos casos de assassinatos de mulheres trans e travestis.
