Au Québec, chaque institution universitaire met en place des dispositifs de formation mathématique pour les personnes futures enseignantes afin de pouvoir les accompagner dans ce processus de formation (Adihou et al., 2006; Morin et Theis, 2006). Ces dispositifs et les cours de didactique des mathématiques peuvent être parfois déconnectés des besoins réels lors de la pratique sur le terrain et ne pas produire les effets escomptés. Pour permettre une formation pertinente en enseignement des mathématiques, un dispositif dit global (Marchand, 2010) a été mis en place au Département d’Études sur l’adaptation scolaire et sociale, à l’Université de Sherbrooke. Il articule la formation mathématique à la formation didactique. Il permet ainsi de mettre en évidence la réciprocité entre le développement des compétences professionnelles et les pratiques futures d’enseignement des mathématiques. Notre contribution s’ancre dans les dispositifs « situés d’ordre didactique » (Audran, 2010), qui correspondent aux stratégies mises en oeuvre par les acteur-ices du dispositif pour répondre aux objectifs des dispositifs institués. Nous exposerons, d’abord, dans la problématique, les enjeux de la formation initiale en adaptation scolaire et sociale. Nous présenterons ensuite le cadre de référence sur lequel s’appuient nos actions (Loewenberg Ball et al., 2008; Clivaz, 2011; Barioni, 2012; Correa Molina & Gervais, 2011). Enfin, nous montrerons comment nous avons opérationnalisé l’articulation entre la formation mathématique et celle à l’enseignement des mathématiques à travers le dispositif global, et conclurons par des perspectives.
