Abstract
Cet article explore les mutations corporelles et identitaires dans les œuvres romanesques de Karoline Georges. À travers ses personnages, Georges examine la quête de transcendance au-delà des contraintes sociales, particulièrement celles liées à la féminité et aux normes esthétiques. En utilisant la technologie, telle que l’intelligence artificielle et la réalité virtuelle, elle propose une vision du transhumanisme et du posthumanisme qui ne se limite pas à l’amélioration physique, mais qui englobe aussi la reconfiguration de la conscience et de l’identité. Les transformations corporelles, qui découlent souvent de traumatismes et d’expériences adverses, constituent des moyens pour les personnages de se réinventer et de se libérer des carcans imposés. L’article montre comment ces mutations ouvrent des perspectives sur la fusion entre l’esprit et la matière, tout en interrogeant les limites entre l’humain, le non humain et le plus qu’humain.
