Abstract
Cet article cherche à examiner l’importance du rapport du sujet à sa propre finitude, dans une liaison au monde ( Lebenswelt ) qui puisse être étendue dans et par le transhumanisme, afin de répondre à la menace d’un adversaire incarnant dans sa volonté les conditions limitatives de la conscience. Pour ce faire, nous nous appuyons sur la rencontre récurrente entre le personnage d’Iron-Man et l’antagoniste Thanos dans le MCU sur onze ans de réalisation (2008-2019) et quinze ans de trame narrative. Le support cinématographique nous permet donc d’examiner de quelle façon l’humanisme est au centre de la polarisation de ce que signifie qu’exister, entre finitude et tentation de l’infini.
