Abstract
Cet article illustre les principaux fondements de l’éducation inclusive et équitable. Il situe d’abord ses grands “principes d’action” et ouvre la réflexion sur le développement d’indicateurs visant à mettre en œuvre une démarche d’équité et d’inclusion en milieu scolaire. L’accent est aussi mis sur le rôle central des compétences professionnelles en formation initiale et continue des professionnels de l’éducation au Québec, dans une perspective d’équité et d’inclusion. L’article met aussi en évidence le “paradigme commun” qui relie les différents courants sur la diversité ethnoculturelle, religieuse et linguistique en éducation, notamment les approches antiraciste et inclusive. Enfin, en conclusion, deux grands défis quant à l’application d’une approche inclusive institutionnelle au Québec sont soulevés.
