Abstract
Las vacunas son instrumentos de una gran complejidad histórica ya que están atravesadas por aspectos políticos, económicos, sociales y culturales. Este artículo pone de relieve el entramado que caracteriza a estos objetos a partir de tres ejemplos: la elaboración de la vacuna contra la gripe española, el derrotero de la BCG entre principios y mediados del siglo XX y los cambios científico-técnicos en las vacunas contra la poliomielitis.
