La race ou l'identité impossible : désordres cognitifs blancs au cœur de la déshumanisation noire

Abstract
Cet article propose une lecture ontologico-politique et critique de la race, attentive aux imaginaires, aux affects et aux récits qui soutiennent la déshumanisation noire. Elle montre que les cadres théoriques centrés sur la performativité, la reconnaissance ou la normativité échouent à penser la spécificité de la condition noire, irréductible aux autres formes d'oppression. Plutôt que de concevoir la race comme une catégorie fluide ou une identité à déconstruire, il l'aborde comme une condition d'existence façonnée par la modernité coloniale et structurée par une asymétrie fondamentale entre blancheur et noirceur. Mobilisant les apports de la Critical Race Theory et du courant afropessimiste, cette analyse met en évidence la fonction constitutive de la violence anti-noire dans la formation du monde moderne, et interroge les limites des approches constructivistes de la blanchité fondées sur la reconnaissance, la diversité, la représentation ou la déconstruction du privilège blanc. Depuis le contexte nord-américain, et plus particulièrement québécois, l'article examine comment certains récits nationaux – tels que le nationalisme québécois francophone – reproduisent, sous couvert d'oppression culturelle, les structures symboliques et cognitives de la blancheur.
