Abstract
Cet article examine des pratiques pédagogiques en plein air au Québec dans le contexte de l’enseignement des arts plastiques au primaire. À partir d’entretiens réalisés auprès de personnes enseignantes, l’analyse de contenu inductive met en relief trois dimensions clés : la nature comme source d’inspiration, la création comme vecteur social et comme processus de découverte. Les pratiques observées mettent en évidence que le processus artistique, lorsqu’il est déployé en plein air, soutient des expériences esthétiques et réflexives particulières chez les élèves. Ces expériences contribuent à l’émergence d’une relation sensible au milieu et à la mobilisation de savoirs disciplinaires situés. Les résultats suggèrent que les arts plastiques en plein air facilitent l’apprentissage par l’expérimentation et encouragent les interactions communautaires. Les constats issus de cette étude ouvrent une réflexion sur les apports possibles des pratiques artistiques en plein air à la formation d’une réflexion écocitoyenne chez les élèves.
