Abstract
Le cinéma d’auteur (à titre de construction discursive et de valeur normative), en écho quasi direct à ce qui s’observe en France depuis les années 1950, a su trouver un ancrage significatif au Québec. Par conséquent, le scénario et le scénariste occupent une place quelque peu ambigüe, voire incertaine dans l’industrie cinématographique québécoise. Cet état de fait trouve une origine politique tout autant qu’esthétique. Il s’agit là d’un phénomène très peu considéré jusqu’à présent par les théoriciens et les praticiens du cinéma. Aussi, dans le présent article, nous cherchons à expliquer la persistance traditionnelle de certaines tendances discursives et configurations auctoriales dans le monde de l’art cinématographique québécois. Cela nous conduit à interroger la présence somme toute discrète des scénaristes de métier au Québec.
