Abstract
Paper given with Anne Eggebert, at the Arts in Society 13th International conference, in Vancouver, where the 2018 theme was: How Art Makes Things Happen — Situating Social Practice in Research, Practice, and Action. The paper was developed from the one given at ELIA the previous summer, looking at the outcomes of three years of work where BAFA students have worked in pairings with local people in Kings Cross. Key questions were concerned with community, resilience, isolation and material enquiry.
