La adaptación de las reglas del baloncesto a la edad y capacidades de los niños y niñas que se inician a través del minibasket ha sido muy positivo. Sin embargo, en España, el reglamento se ha ido desarrollando de forma diferente en las distintas comunidades autónomas lo cual tiene sus aspectos positivos y negativos. Se pretende con este trabajo analizar todos los reglamentos que rigen las distintas competiciones de minibasket con el fin de comprobar las reglas más frecuentes, así como las más educativas y realizar finalmente propuestas de mejora al reglamento de minibasket. Algunas Comunidades Autónomas como Andalucía, Cataluña o Galicia desarrollan reglamentos más específicos y amplios. Las reglas de tiempo y espacio son las que más se repiten en los diferentes reglamentos. Se sugiere unificar las reglas y hacer hincapié en las más importantes para el juego y para la formación de los jugadores.
