Abstract
Cette recherche qualitative documente les retombées d’un stage à l’international, réalisé au Sénégal, pour le développement professionnel de 28 personnes étudiantes en enseignement en adaptation scolaire et sociale. L’analyse des données issues des dossiers professionnels évolutifs et du groupe de discussion focalisée met en lumière comment ce stage a pu contribuer au développement de 11 compétences professionnelles ainsi qu’à certaines compétences personnelles, soutenant la professionnalisation des stagiaires. Cette recherche propose de nouvelles connaissances sur les retombées d’un stage dans des pays en développement et sur les expériences spécifiques au contexte québécois.
