乐象永续科技是一家践行可持续发展理念的创业公司,用独特的生物基色素分子合成修饰技术,发明出一款不掉色、零污染、零碳排的生物基染料。该产品的最大特点,是解决了传统的植物染料色彩暗沉、颜色少、色深度不够等问题,在性能上可与化学染料相媲美,同时又具备植物染料的环保特质。乐象的天然生物基染料及完整的配套染色技术具备规模应用能力及跨行业的迁移能力:不仅能够应用在许多服饰面料上,还能横跨到诸如彩妆、染发、油墨印刷、涂料颜料等各种色彩应用场景和领域。染料生产过程中产生的唯一固体废弃物可以转化为蚯蚓的食物,用于碳贮存和土壤修复。 然而,乐象科技的商业化之路走得很不顺利。最大的障碍存在于理念上:国内对天然染料的定义是等同于纯天然植物染料,不可以对分子结构有任何的改动,使得该技术在国内专利注册受阻;国内大多数染厂对乐象所能带来的环境增益也不感兴趣等等。2019年,乐象获得开云集团举办的可持续创新大奖头名。开云为乐象匹配欧洲的合作方,成为他们撬开新市场的杠杆。受COVID-19疫情影响,乐象尚未与欧洲的面料商等展开实质性合作。同时,国内有3个大集团以增强技术储备为目标,愿意收购乐象。 乐象的两位创始人刘媛媛和谢义鸿夫妇开始思考如何重新设计乐象的商业模式,以应对像疫情这样的不确定性和多样化的机会:染料作为单一产品是否竞争力太弱,该卖产品还是卖技术?继续坚持独立发展,还是应该考虑融资、收购或是其他合作方案?如何整合现有资源,及从产业链的哪个环节切入市场?如何围绕核心技术,逐步打造一个更具竞争力的、多元化的产品/服务生态?
