Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la correlación de la calidad de vida y la adherencia a la Terapia Antirretroviral (TARV), con las capacidades cognitivas en personas que presentan el virus de Inmunodeficiencia humana en un hospital nacional de Lima. La población está conformada por 144 personas quienes asistieron a su control de terapia antirretroviral en un centro hospitalario de Lima Metropolitana. Se usó el diseño descriptivo – correlacional y los instrumentos fueron la escala de índice de calidad de vida -adaptación de Mezzich; el cuestionario de valoración de la adherencia de Echevarría y la prueba de evaluación cognitiva de Montreal. Se obtuvo que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre calidad de vida, adherencia a la terapia antirretroviral y capacidades cognitivas en personas que poseen el Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana en un hospital nacional de Lima.
