Abstract
步步高是一家总部位于湖南的区域连锁超市集团。为应对市场变化以及数字化时代新技术、新模式对零售业的冲击，步步高从2017年底开始探索智慧零售。集团高级副总裁彭雄兼任智慧零售事业部总经理，为步步高探寻未来零售的方向。经过3年的不断试验与探索，彭雄团队为公司推出了一系列数字化运营工具、动态用工管理工具，大大提高了试验门店的运营效率。在激励机制的配合下，试验门店员工的收入与门店业绩绑定，工作更加积极主动，门店的销售、利润和劳动效率都有显著的提升。 自2020年开始的三年间，中国实行疫情管控，用户消费习惯与到店需求发生了超出自然演进速度的变化：社区团购、线上购物作为居民在“全域静态管理”（封城）期内物资保供的主要手段，超常规地发展起来，并常态化地进入社区生活，向传统的零售商业模式提出更严峻的挑战。2021年，步步高净亏损1.84亿元，关闭了52家门店。 彭雄开始反思数字化对于传统零售超市的价值。从利用数字化来降本增效的“物本主义”（物本主义在发展观中的体现，就是将物质财富的增长作为发展动机、发展目的和评判是非的单一尺度和依据，认为一切为了发展，发展可以解决一切问题）发展观看，业务已没有进一步的提升空间。经过对步步高“共创美好生活”理念的反思，彭雄在自己掌权的数字化试验田里，提出打造“顾客最喜欢、员工最开心的社区超市”，这是一种“人本主义”（人本主义发展观以人的全面的、多样化的需求的满足、人类福祉的实现为发展的动机和目标，这克服了物本主义发展观中重视财富增长而漠视人的多样化价值需求的弊端，指明人是目的，发展只是工具）的发展观。数字化工具起到的作用也从降本增效转为增进顾客和员工的幸福感。彭雄要用数字化工具夺回被线上数字化夺去的失地。可是，彭雄面临着组织、理念、业绩等方面的重重压力，彭雄能成功吗？
