Abstract
新加坡诗肯柚木有限公司(Scanteak Corporation)是一家成立于20世纪70年代的家具零售商，截至2010年在全球拥有100多家门店，成为首家在台湾股票交易所(OTC)上柜的家具公司。随着公司的发展，创始人林福勤(Pok Chin Lim)和他的妻子傅雅香(Catherine Foo)在孩子身上投入了很多，尤其是在培养其成为公司接班人方面的努力。2003年，林福勤请他的大女儿林洁敏(Jamie Lim)帮忙发展家族企业。在过去的七年里，林洁敏在品牌推广和市场拓展方面取得了很大的成绩。2010年，林福勤让他的儿子林杰人(Julian Lim)帮助他在新加坡或台湾的业务，他想在那里培训林杰人。然而，一直遵从父母意愿的林杰人拒绝了他们的提议，而是要求父亲将诗肯柚木在日本的业务交由他全权管理。林氏夫妇质疑他们刚毕业的儿子是否能担此重任，不知道该如何回应儿子的大胆要求……
