Abstract
Kanada predstavlja jednu od razvijenijih zemalja svijeta s velikim ljudskim i ekonomskim potencijalom. Kao jedna od najvećih zemalja svijeta svoju kopnenu granicu dijeli upravo sa Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama koje su njezin najveći trgovinski partner. Jedni od glavnih trgovinskih partnera Kanade su i azijske zemlje te Europska Unija. Unatoč šumovitom reljefu Kanada je zemlja koja je gusto naseljena, ali unatoč tome dobro iskorištava svoj ljudski potencijal te mnogo ulaže u istraživanja i razvoj. Trgovinski je otvorena zemlja te daje priliku i stranim zemljama na ulaganje i razvoj. U ukupnoj strukturi BDP-a najznačajniji udio imaju usluge, zatim slijedi industrija u kojoj najviše prevladavaju industrija čelika, drva, prehrambena, a najmanji dio zauzima poljoprivreda upravo zbog šumovitog reljefa. Prema indeksu konkurentnosti talenata Kanada prema ranku svjetske ljestvice stoji uz najrazvijenije zemlje svijeta. Pohvaliti se može i po stupnju inovativnosti koji je izrazito visok.
