Abstract
Dans cet article on présente le Panda 3®, il s'agit d'un pénétromètre dynamique instrumenté qui permet de fournir une information plus riche du comportement à la rupture et la déformation du sol. Des nombreux essais on été réalisés montrant la faisabilité et la validité des résultats obtenus. Toutefois, très peu de tests ont été réalisés dans des conditions réelles permettant de valider son utilisation dans le contexte d'une problématique dynamique. C'est dans ce cadre que deux campagnes d’essais in-situ ont été réalisées sur deux sites ferroviaires. L'objectif est de valider la faisabilité des essais réalisés avec le nouveau pénétromètre Panda 3® et de comparer les résultats avec ceux obtenus par d'autres essais. Les résultats obtenus mettent en évidence la faisabilité d’un tel essai. De même, ceux-ci sont bien corrélés avec les résultats obtenus par le biais d'autres techniques. Cela permettra dans l'avenir d'améliorer la caractérisation géomécanique des premiers mètres sous la voie.
