Abstract
The article addresses the medieval architecture of the rural parish church based on the latest information obtained from its final reconstruction. It is possible to state that the entire building, composed of a nave and an apse, was built out of masonry at a single time. The church with a historicising layout and datable to the third quarter of the thirteenth century is part of an interesting group of similar structures in the middle Sázava River region that can be linked to the activities of the local lower aristocracy.
