Abstract
På et 800 år gammelt fundament af fire tidligere slotte hviler det nuværende Christiansborg Slot, der blev opført 1906‑28 efter tegninger af Thorvald Jørgensen. Slottet er både kongemagtens og folkestyrets slot. Facaden er i nybarok stil, udført i granit, der er hentet fra alle dele af landet.
