Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Highly reliable operation of a telephone network system is of great importance for maintaining customer satisfaction. It is noted that the bad weather conditions are responsible for as much as 70% of the signal interruptions. In this research, we apply Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) methodology to analyze the telephone line system, in which both the interruptions and various weather conditions are considered to make decisions. We analyze the system by applying optimization modeling software, EXAKT, which is being developed at the University of Toronto's CBM Laboratory. Proportional Hazard Model (PHM) was utilized incorporating the complex weather conditions of the network system. A case study is proposed and the key factors relating to the reliability are identified. A new methodology for data pre-processing is developed in data preparation phase, which lays the groundwork for further investigations. The research also presents an extension of the classical long-term optimal decision policy.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
