Abstract
Ce memoire de maitrise porte sur le double role d'agentes de reproduction linguistique et culturelle de six enseignantes francophones qui sont mariees avec des anglophones et qui parlent francais a leurs enfants. L'etude qualitative, effectuee au moyen d'entrevues semi-dirigees avec les femmes et leurs conjoints, s'est deroulee dans le Centre de l'Ontario. L'objectif principal de l'analyse a ete de voir si les experiences professionnelles de ces enseignantes aupres d'une clientele scolaire heterogene sur le plan linguistique influencent la facon dont elles transmettent la langue et la culture francaises a leurs enfants au sein d'un foyer linguistiquement mixte. L'examen des discours des informatrices devoile que les participantes ont une vision traditionaliste du francais en tant qu'enseignante et une vision mondialisante en tant que mere par rapport au contact du francais et de l'anglais. Elles utilisent des strategies de reproduction communes au travail et des strategies plus individuelles en milieu familial.
