Abstract
The article provides an insight into the current situation of the practice of social work with foster families in terms of reflection on the space for innovation and improvement of the current practice. The text is based on an analysis of self-reported qualitative data collected in the first quarter of 2025 through interviews with social workers. This preliminary study probe serves as an initial opening to the topic and aimed to analyse potential areas for innovation accompanying foster care organisations. The findings point to difficulties in the topic of contact between the child and his or her biological fam ily, problems related to administrative and bureaucratic burdens, and overall inconsistency in anchor ing practice. Potential solutions arising from the innovation of practice through digitisation and the use of new technologies are discussed.
