Striving towards optimal antenatal care for pregnancies complicated with fetal anomalies in Canada: A single center retrospective study
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Background. Birth defects remain one of the primary contributors to infant mortality. This study describes the practice patterns for two sub-specialties: Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and Prenatal Medical Genetics (PMG) who provide antenatal care for high risk pregnancies. Methods. A tertiary care medical center in Toronto was selected for the retrospective study. A total of 3704 and 7831 charts were reviewed in MFM and PMG departments for the years 2002--2004 inclusive. Results. 447 and 457 patients seen by MFM and PMG respectively and 58 patients were consulted by both subspecialties. Mean maternal and gestational age, postnatal outcomes (interruption of pregnancies) and referral patterns were found to be significantly different between the two groups (p

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.

machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
