Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Four properties of nickel titanium closed coil springs were investigated: mean force, maximum force, load/deflection ratio and force degradation over 16 weeks. The force exerted by 150, 200 and 250g springs from three manufacturers (GAC SentalloyeRTM; TP ReflexRTM; Unitek(TM) Nitinol) was recorded throughout their respective published activation ranges. Twenty springs of each nominal force level were tested. The mean initial force of the GAC and Unitek(TM) springs was 6--8% and 23--36% below their nominal force, respectively. The mean initial force of the TP springs was 1--24% above their labeled force. The maximum force of the GAC and TP springs was 53--130% greater than the labeled force, whereas the Unitek(TM) springs exhibited maximum forces within 11% of their nominal values. Unitek(TM) springs generated the lowest load/deflection ratios, which best approximates constant force delivery. Only the GAC 150g springs demonstrated both statistically and clinically significant force degradation.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
