Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Hypothesis. An increased volume of the retrodiscal tissue will be found in specimens with anteriorly positioned articular discs. Purpose. To construct a 3-D computer model using macro-anatomical techniques to visualize and document the architecture of the lateral pterygoid (LP), articular disc and retrodiscal fibres and to quantify the retrodiscal apparatus. Methods. Ten human cadaveric specimens were dissected for optimal visualization of the LP, disc and retrodiscal tissue. Digitization was completed and the data was then reconstituted and modeled in 3-D using MAYA(TM). Results. The retrodiscal volumes ranged from 0.555 to 2.072 cm3 with a mean of 1.072 cm3. Retrodiscal volumes were significantly larger in specimens with discs that were anteriorly positioned (p

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
