Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Canadian Advanced Nanosatellite eXperiment 2 (CanX-2) is the second is a series of nanosatellites (spacecraft under 10 kg in mass) under development at the UTIAS Space Flight Laboratory. Scheduled for launch in June 2007, CanX-2 will test the enabling technologies needed to support future small satellite missions in formation flying and astronomical observation. Two of these core systems are the on-board computer, for command and data handling, and the radio systems for communication and tracking. On initial deployment in space, the interface between these two systems is provided by the bootloader software. The design of the bootloader and the selection of spacecraft commands are described. Upon deployment, a VHF beacon is used to provided basic spacecraft health information and confirm separation. This signal and other communication with CanX-2 is accomplished through the ground station at UTIAS/SFL; the design of both these systems and their implementation is documented.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
