Abstract
Provijant je prostor na brodu u kojem se skladište namirnice na temperaturi koja odgovara svojstvima namirnica kako bi ostale zdrave i kvalitetne. Njegova zadaća je da omogući očuvanje izgleda, okusa, mirisa i kvalitete namirnica koje se prevoze i namirnica koje se koriste za prehranu ljudi koji borave na brodu. Glavni dijelovi rashladnog sustava provijanta su kompresor, kondenzator, isparivač, termoekspanzijski ventil. Kompresor je najvažniji uređaj u rashladnom sustavu provijanta. Sustav je opremljen sa dva kompresora. Radne tvari koje se koriste u brodskim rashladnim uređajima provijanta su prirodne radne tvari kao na primjer amonijak, ugljikov dioksid, voda, ugljikovodici. Prirodne radne tvari se koriste zbog minimalnog utjecaja na klimu i ozonski omotač te iz ekonomskih razloga.
