Pêches et Océans Canada (MPO), Gestion de la ressource des pêches, a institué une approche de gestion pluriannuelle pour le stock de plie rouge du sud du golfe du Saint-Laurent (sGSL; division 4T de l’Organisation des pêches de l’Atlantique nord-ouest (OPANO)). La dernière évaluation complète du stock de plie rouge du sGSL (Surette et Rolland 2019) a été achevée en mars 2017 et contenait l’avis pour la période de pêche de mai 2017 à mai 2022. Une mise à jour de l’indicateur de l’état du stock a été complété en 2019 (DFO 2020). Ce stock n’a pas fait l’objet d’une évaluation complète en 2021 comme cela était prévu dans son cycle d’évaluation de 5 ans (MPO 2016; MPO 2017) puisqu’un plan de rétablissement est actuellement en cours d’élaboration et devrait être publié en 2022. Au lieu de cela, une mise à jour des indicateurs de l’état du stock est présentée pour éclairer la prise de décision. Le présent rapport de réponse scientifique, issu du processus de réponse des sciences régional du 01 mars 2022, fournit une mise à jour des indicateurs jusqu'en 2021 de la plie rouge (Pseudopleuronectes americanus) de la division 4T de l'OPANO, dans le sud du golfe du Saint Laurent.
