Abstract
Bu çalışma, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Rölöve ve Restorasyon Yüksek Lisans Programı kapsamında, 2023–2024 öğretim yılı güz ve bahar yarıyıllarında yürütülen Tarihi Çevre Değerlendirme Stüdyosu çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilen belgeleme çalışmalarına dayanmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde yer alan Artvin ili Şavşat ilçesine bağlı Cevizli Köyü’nün yerleşim dokusu ile geleneksel konut mimarisine ait özgün mimari ve yapım özelliklerini analiz etmektir. Dağınık yerleşim düzenine sahip olan köy, geniş ormanlık alan- lar içinde, topoğrafyaya uyumlu biçimde konumlanarak özgün bir tarihi kırsal peyzaj örneği sunmaktadır. Yerleşimin merkezinde yer alan ve 10. yüzyıla tarihlenen Tibeti Manastırı, bölgenin Gürcü mimari mirasına ışık tutarken; geleneksel konut örneklerinde ahşap yığma (çantı) yapım sistemine özgü detaylar dikkat çekmektedir. Bu yapılarda kullanılan büyük kesitli ahşap elemanlarla oluşturulan heykelsi detaylar, yapım tekniğinin karakteristik özelliklerini yansıtırken; yapı elemanlarında gözlemlenen özgün ahşap işçiliği, köyün hem somut hem de somut olmayan kültürel mirasını günümüze taşımaktadır.
