Por medio de esta investigación, daremos cuenta del desarrollo del mercado de la tierra en el casco urbano de San Juan entre los años de 1917 y 1935. Se expondrá el desenvolvimiento de las transacciones, el tipo de edificación y el uso que se le daba a la propiedad, en función de los barrios y por medio del plano del casco urbano. Así mismo, se ofrecen las principales razones para entender la distribución de este mercado inmobiliario. Por otro lado, se hace un ejercicio que compara el salario del peón con el precio de la propiedad. Esto con el fin de crearnos una aproximación a la percepción que los san juaneros pudieron haber tenido de la compra y venta del suelo en el casco urbano de San Juan en aquellos años. Finalmente, se muestra a los principales participantes dentro del mercado inmobiliario haciendo un esfuerzo por exhibir el lugar que ocupaban en la sociedad san juanera.
