Cartea prezintă o scurtă biografie a artistei Georgeta Crainic, precum și reproduceri ale colecției de tablouri pe care aceasta le-a donat și se află în colecțiile Muzeului Ianca. Georgeta Crainic (1926-2006) a fost o pictoriță, poetă și scriitoare, de origine română, stabilită în Canada. S-a născut în localitatea Ianca din județul Brăila, a urmat cursurile liceale și universitare la București. În 1971 se stabilește, împreună cu familia , în Canada, unde va dessfășura o bogată activitate artistică.
