Con el eje de investigación focalizado en la prestación por desempleo para las trabajadoras eventuales agrícolas subsidiadas (TEAS) este artículo aborda en clave sociológica la política pública del subsidio agrario en Andalucía. Se proyecta el análisis en torno a tres secciones diferenciadas. En primer lugar, plantea retrotraerse a la génesis del subsidio a través de un recorrido sociohistórico. Posteriormente se examina empíricamente la estructura poblacional del subsidio. Por último, en la tercera sección, se testa mediante procedimientos propios del Análisis Espacial Exploratorio la relación entre localizaciones de alta incidencia del paro en Andalucía y mayor peso poblacional de las subsidiadas entre la población activa a nivel municipal. De los resultados obtenidos se desprende la evidencia de una estructura poblacional del subsidio fuertemente feminizada. Esta circunstancia da lugar a proponer el subsidio como un posible escenario de referencia para evaluar las políticas públicas actuales de ingresos mínimos vitales.
