Abstract
Une étude qualitative s’est intéressée aux conceptions du travail social chez des intervenantes et intervenants sociaux oeuvrant au sein d’organismes communautaires. Cet article vise à présenter les résultats découlant d’une double démarche méthodologique appuyant le principe selon lequel le recours à un type de discours par des actrices et acteurs est toujours appuyé par des conceptions spécifiques du travail et dépend de leurs systèmes de référence. Le fait d’accéder à la façon dont les intervenantes et intervenants sociaux définissent le travail social a permis de dégager leurs modalités d’identification socioprofessionnelle, lesquelles rappellent les fondements axio-idéologiques du travail social.
