Abstract
Alors que très peu d’études ont effectué un suivi dans le temps de la composition nutritionnelle des desserts laitiers et de leurs ventes, ce suivi montre que peu de changements ont été observés dans la composition nutritionnelle de l’offre. Toutefois, en termes d’achats, quelques améliorations ont été notées ce qui signifie que les consommateurs font de meilleurs choix ou que les grands vendeurs se sont améliorés davantage. Dans l’ensemble, les desserts laitiers achetés ont connu une baisse significative des teneurs en glucides de près de 7 %. Ceci semble être attribuable à une réduction des teneurs en sucres (bien que celle-ci ne soit pas significative). Ainsi, une plus grande proportion de produits achetés respecte maintenant le seuil de 15 % de la VQ pour les sucres et une moindre proportion de produits aurait le symbole nutritionnel de Santé Canada en devant d’emballage.
