Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Тheodore Wacyk was born on April 11, 1886 in the village of Kolodiivka, Ternopil district, Galicia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland from 1904 to 1909 and then continued his studies in Vien- na, Munich and Venice. During the First World War he served in Austrian and Ukrain- ian armies. After defeat of Ukraine he moved to Italy, then to Czechoslovakia. He spent al- most 10 years in Transcarpathia working in Uzhgorod and Berehovo but this period is poorly illuminated. We can learn from the press that he was quite popular portrait painter. He also painted landscapes, still lives and nudes. His manner was realistic tending to impressionism. It took him two years to perform a monumental wall painting in the church of Holy Spirit in the village of Velyki Komiaty. He spent his last years in Bavarian Plattling painting views of mountains and lakes of the area. Teodor Watsyk died on June 22, 1968. His artistic path was interrupted by two world wars. Many of his paintings were lost, still many are preserved. Once having elabo- rated his realistic manner he kept to it during his artistic career. His paintings can be seen in National Museum in Lviv, in Museum of Local Lore (Ternopil), in the KUMF Gallery in Toronto, as well as in private collections in Italy, Belgium, the USA, Germany and Brazil. His works are known to have been exhibited in Germany, the USA, Ukraine, Poland and Ita- ly.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
