Abstract
Międzynarodowa pozycja Kanady (2006-2018) składa się z trzech odrębnych części. Każda z nich dotyczy identyfikacji i analizy różnych czynników, które wpłynęły na miejsce tego kraju we współczesnym świecie w ostatnich dwóch dekadach. Pierwsza część poświęcona jest ocenie polityki zagranicznej Kanady w okresie rządów Stephena Harpera w latach 2006-2015. Nie tylko analizuje cztery podstawowe założenia doktryny Harpera, ale egzemplifikuje je w konkretnych politykach. Druga skupia się na rządach Justina Trudeau w latach 2015-2018. Jego kadencja jeszcze trwa, stąd założenia polityki zagranicznej są ciągle modyfikowane. Niemniej jednak autorowi udało się odnaleźć pewne spójne elementy doktrynalne w polityce Trudeau, odnoszące się do tradycji liberalnej. W trzeciej części zajęto się omówieniem polityki Kanady odnoszącej się do regionu Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Ukrainy i Polski. Autorka słusznie zauważyła, iż aneksja Krymu przez Federację Rosyjską w marcu 2014 r. stała się ważnym punktem w intensyfikacji relacji politycznych i gospodarczych Kanady z Polską i Ukrainą, także w ramach NATO.
