Abstract
Szkic poświęcony jest mitowi osobistemu w liryce Edwarda Zymana. Zagadnienie przedstawione zostało na tle motywu onirycznego obecnego w całej twórczości autora Jasności. Motyw ten stanowi ciekawe i ważne dopełnienie emigracyjnego portretu poety. Refleksje zaprezentowane w artykule odnoszą się przede wszystkim do dwóch tomików poetyckich Zymana- Bez prawa azylu oraz do najnowszego tomiku Z dziecięcej fabryki złudzeń, w którym poeta duchowo peregrynuje do świata swoich przeżyć i doświadczeń dziecięcych. Motyw snu mocno wpisuje się zarówno w poetycką jak i faktyczną (kanadyjską) rzeczywistość Edwarda Zymana, który przebywając w obu tych przestrzeniach równocześnie, wciąż powraca wspomnieniami do ojczyzny utraconej. W rozpoznaniach autorki szkicu obrazy senne w tej twórczości nie pełnią funkcji katartycznej. Przestawione zostały jako te, które przynoszą poecie symboliczne ocalenie w emigracyjnej rzeczywistości.
