Abstract
Liebe Leserinnen und Leser, der Vorteil eines Stadtstaates gegenüber einem Flächenland sollte unter anderem darin bestehen, dass man kurze Wege, engere Arbeitszusammenhänge und damit das Privileg eines besseren Überblicks hat. Als ich im August letzten Jahres nach 14 Jahren beruflicher Tätigkeit im Stadtstaat Berlin in das Flächenland Sachsen kam, stellte sich mir daher die Frage, ob und wie ich mich in kurzer Zeit über das sächsische Bibliothekswesen informieren könnte, ob und wie sich rasch Kontakte mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen in anderen sächsischen Bibliotheken herstellen ließen.
