Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

St Owen's Church (HER 1027) dates predominately from the 13th -15th centuries, with some 15th and 16th century additions. The existing building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble walls with a tiles roof. Modern services were observed in TPs 1 and 2. The cut for the foundation for the northern wall was observed in in the base of TP 3, but was not excavated as it was beyond the limits of the current work. The foundation for the church consisted of a mixture of limestone, ironstone and chalk laid in courses extending up to 0.80m from the wall. The base of the foundation was not exposed in any of the test pits, but it was clear that the upper courses were bonded with lime mortar while the lower courses were laid dry. No other archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were observed.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
