Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract. Urban parks play a crucial role in supplying oxygen as part of the ecological functions of green open spaces. This study aims to analyze the oxygen production from urban parks in the Cibeunying Sub-City Area (SWK Cibeunying) and compare it with the oxygen demand of the local population. The research employed a quantitative approach, with oxygen production estimated from vegetation cover and biomass conversion values from the literature, while oxygen demand was calculated based on population numbers multiplied by the standard oxygen requirement per capita. The results indicate that oxygen production from urban parks in SWK Cibeunying remains significantly lower than the oxygen demand of its inhabitants. This finding highlights that urban parks alone cannot fulfill the community’s oxygen needs, emphasizing the importance of other green spaces and broader environmental management strategies. The study underlines the urgency of enhancing both the quality and quantity of urban green open spaces to support ecological sustainability and public health.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
