Abstract
Laurent Lavaste, illustrateur français, a plongé dans l’univers de la rue à Montréal pour capter, par le dessin, la réalité des personnes en situation d’itinérance. Ce choix relevait d’abord d’une démarche artistique, mais a rapidement pris une tournure personnelle : Laurent raconte avoir trouvé, dans les souffrances de la rue, une manière d’explorer ses propres émotions. De retour à Montréal en octobre 2024, il s’est muni d’un vélo et d’un chariot pour exposer ses dessins à travers le Québec. Accueilli au CREMIS comme « artiste en résidence », il revient sur son parcours lors d’un entretien avec Nicolas Sallée et Carolyne Grimard.
