Abstract
Professor Marlene Wind var den 8. december i Jyllands-Posten, hvor hun kommenterede på udviklingen i Polen med deres retsreformer, som professor Wind vurderer er mere alvorlig end Brexit for EU. Sagen om Polen handler om, hvordan EU kan få dets medlemslande til at overholde de regler og værdier, som landene frivilligt har skrevet under på. I følge Wind er det en værre krise, end at Storbritannien ønsker at melde sig ud, da det handler om, hvordan den tilbageværende union arbejder sammen. En mulig løsning på problematikken med Polen er brugen af den såkaldte atombombe-paragraf, der fratager et lands stemmeret i EU’s ministerråd. Denne paragraf kræver dog i sidste ende enstemmighed for at kunne træde i kraft, og professor Wind pointerer, at Ungarn nok vil nedlægge veto, da landet er på samme kurs som Polen.
