Abstract
USA og Canada er foregangslande, når det handler om, at arbejde tvangs- og voldsforebyggende. Dette kræver omfattende kulturændringer og indebærer nye pleje- og behandlingstilgange. En af disse tilgange er ”Trauma Informed Care”. Traume Informeret Care (herefter TIC) er positiv tvangs- og voldsforebyggelse. Vi tog på studiebesøg, for at undersøge om denne måde at organisere psykiatrien på, kan indføres nogle steder i Danmark. I første omgang tog vi på studiebesøg, fordi vi var nysgerrige efter, hvordan det fungerede i virkeligheden. Formålet var, at gøre os klogere på, hvordan vi kan blive endnu bedre til at forebygge bæltefiksering og anden tvang i psykiatrien.
