Abstract
I dette debatindlæg advokerer professor Marlene Wind for den frie adgang for almindelige borgere i Danmark til fri og forskningsbaseret viden i en digital tidsalder. Hun kritiserer, at regeringen nu foreslår at fjerne støtten til lex.dk, som netop er et eksempel på denne forskningsbaserede viden. Hun påpeger, at det er afgørende for især den unge generations dannelse, at alle har let og gratis adgang til faktabaseret viden, da man ellers får den fra sociale medier, hvor politikernes agenda og koreograferede virkelighed dominerer. Det bliver således i yderste konsekvens ødelæggende for den demokratiske samtale, hvis ikke befolkningen taler ud fra et oplyst grundlag - hvilket man har set eksempler på i mange andre lande, hvor der ikke er fri og lettilgængelig viden.
