Alicante, Cartagena de Levante, Lorca y Murcia, ciudades de los reinos de Valencia y Murcia, presenciaron entre 1730 y 1773 la instalación de algunos navarros oficiales de Hacienda o de rentas, como la de aduana en la primera población, que en el caso de Cartagena dejaron un mayor rastro por su actuación en la Cofradía de Jesús Nazareno. Estos navarros estuvieron relacionados, sobre todo, con la provisión de víveres de las galeras de España y de los presidios norteafricanos, y, por lo tanto, con los asentistas navarros de la corte. Aquellos tuvieron negocios con los comerciantes bearneses de Cartagena, grupo característico de su comercio, además del genovés.
