Aquesta investigació se centra en l’obra de John Hejduk entre 1964 i 1974, període en el qual desenvolupa la sèrie de projectes coneguts com a Wall Houses, entesos no com una col·lecció tancada sinó com un sistema obert de variacions i desplaçaments. Davant l’escassetat d’obra construïda, l’estudi es basa en l’anàlisi directa dels seus dibuixos —esbossos, plantes, seccions i axonometries—, considerats no com a representacions secundàries, sinó com a empremtes del pensament projectual. L’objectiu principal és construir una cronologia crítica i raonada d’aquesta etapa a partir del contrast entre diferents fonts: els Time Sketches elaborats pel mateix autor, l’arxiu del Canadian Centre for Architecture i la monografia The Mask of Medusa. Més que resoldre les contradiccions entre aquestes versions, el treball proposa assumir-les com a indicis d’una lògica projectual en la qual el temps no s’organitza linealment, sinó en capes i repeticions. La metodologia combina una lectura comparativa de documents amb una anàlisi gràfica propera, que busca rastrejar com certs elements —el mur com a límit, la frontalitat extrema, la geometria fragmentària i l’ambigüitat funcional— es repeteixen i es transformen al llarg de la sèrie. A partir d’aquesta aproximació, la investigació ofereix una relectura de l’obra de Hejduk en la qual cada projecte s’entén com una pregunta oberta més que no com una resposta definitiva, i el principal aportació de la qual consisteix a visibilitzar una constel·lació de relacions que permet comprendre la seva arquitectura com a forma de pensament alhora que reflexiona sobre el potencial del dibuix com a instrument actiu en la investigació arquitectònica contemporània.
