Abstract
La rubrique politique occupe une position haute dans la hiérarchie des rédactions de la presse quotidienne régionale et présente une « rentabilité » en termes de prestige. L’observation in situ des pratiques quotidiennes de travail des journalistes politiques du Monde, avec pour point de comparaison l’étude de Jean Padioleau menée au début des années 80, permet de saisir dans quelle mesure ce statut de rubrique « noble » se voit remis en cause au cours des années 90. Nous verrons comment l’apparition d’une nouvelle « rhétorique » journalistique traduit un renouvellement à la fois des procédures d’écriture mais aussi des représentations et pratiques journalistiques inscrites dans un rapport de force entre catégories de journalistes.
